Albion Stone were approached to provide Portland Stone for the redevelopment of 14 Charles Street, with retained window surrounds and new stone cladding to the front façade.
Albion Stone attended meetings in London with the architect to confirm stonework dimensions and details.
The project team then visited Albion Stone’s quarry and mine to view the extraction process and large Range panels in order to understand the geology of the material they were specifying.
Jordans Basebed was then decided on, for it’s lack of shell content and ease of use for carving.
Albion Stone supplied £176,000 worth of stone for this project.
